While India's economy continues to rapidly grow, hundreds of millions of people across the country still live with poverty, malnutrition, unhygienic living conditions, and the largest population of amputees in the world.
About a third of the world's poor live in India, battling blatant gender and class inequalities while trying to climb out of poverty. Amputees are particularity at risk of discrimination and are often treated as less than human.
